#meetourstaffMonday Today meet Lavada. She has worked for the Magdala Foundation for little over a year as Maury Group Home's QDDP/House Supervisor. Since working at Magdala, she has enjoyed seeing in the growth of the residents, "I have enjoyed seeing the growth of the residents through the everyday interactions that Maury provides to assist the residents to live as independently as possible while preserving their dignity." She shares a memory that is sure to put a smile on your face. "One of my best memories is from when I worked at Russell House last Halloween. June and I dressed up as Mario and Luigi and went to Heartland Industries to visit a client. She was so thrilled that we dressed up so she wanted to walk us around the workshop to show everyone. The smile she had was the greatest because it was something so small that created a memorable moment for her." #stlouisgram #cwe #delmarloop
#meetourstaffMonday Everyone, say hello to Tanya'. She was recently promoted to QDDP/HS at Benton Park Group Home and will be celebrating 18 years at Magdala in December.
As a House Supervisor and also now QDDP, Tanya' shares many memories of her time with residents at Magdala. "I enjoyed taking the clients from Augusta Christmas caroling to Wes and Jeanette's house, going to Lone Elk Park with several of the clients and going to the Arch last year with a client who had never been to the Arch. Our many trips to Lambert's and the Cardinals games, oh, and I can't forget going to the Cher concert with Brenda from Augusta." Tanya' describes Magdala as a family. "The clients get to know our families just as much as we get to know theirs. Over the years I have taken several different clients home with me for the holidays." She continues, "We laugh together, cry together, stumble and get back up together. Everyone should be as lucky as I am to spend the day with the clients that we support at Magdala Foundation."
